A Very Beautiful Mother's Day

It's Momma's Day!
This is my lovely mom and I. ♥ Isn't she beautiful?

On Sunday morning, I woke up pretty early as I had to serve in church. Before leaving to church, I decided to blow some balloons and leave my mom a simple message on her door.
 "Happy" , "Mother's" , "Day"
I left to church then and only met up with my family during lunch. That was when I gave my mom a huge hug and wish her once again. Right after lunch, my sister and I went on a hunting trip for dear mama (Our gift is shared by my brother, my sister, her bf and I). Sis and I have always made stuff or cooked for her instead of buying her gifts. So this time, we decided to buy her something instead.
Dear momma have always loved boxes or things to keep her accessories. And so, we got her a box! That was not all that we gave her though! Check this out!

Momma's getting a whole new bunch of stuff! A multipurpose necklace (You could wear it as a normal necklace or a choker, and it could also be worn sideways with the ribbon showing, or as a headpiece.), A simple yet lovely necklace, a white & gold bracelet, and a pair of crystal heart earrings! Oh how I wish my sister and I were to be my very own future kids. Just kidding! That'd be weird.
On this beautiful day, Momma's got some flowers too! And look! It matches her gifts!
Let's continue on admiring the gifts and then drooling over the scrumptious dinner!

I love the crystal heart earrings! They look extremely gorgeous! ♥

Mommy is so very blessed, isn't she?
Well, let's proceed to the oh-so-mouth-watering dinner!
We had our dinner at Elcerdo, KL. They're known to be famous for their pork - thus, the picture on their menu. Their little mascot was also just standing by our table!
The Parents,
The Siblings,
The Family. ♥
Before dinner, the children presented their gift.
The mommy was asked to feel what she think the gift was first. Then she got to open her eyes. The sweet daddy decided to help her wear her new gifts!

In Elcerdo, there's one thing you just HAVE to try :
Their spare ribs!!! These are truly the BEST spare ribs I've ever ate in my entire life! Really! It's meaty and extremely filled with taste bursting in your mouth. You have really got to try it one day! Another highly popular dish there, was the suckling pig.
Not only did it come with sauce, but it came with a story too! The waitress placed her stuff down and began. Then, the waitress taught us all how to chop up the suckling pig with a plate. It is said that the bad luck would enter the plate after chopping the pig, and the plate needs to be thrown broken after that. Mom was the special guest who got to try it out. She was so afraid!
That's pretty much our dinner. All of us were satisfied and happy with a full tummy!
As we reach home, the night went on with karaoke.
...and the parents danced through the night as the children sang.
The End.

My First Make Up Model

Hey there! Check out my hair! It's curled! Well, slightly. My maid was bored and she decided to curl my hair. My hair's naturally straight though, and it gets back to it's original look very quickly. By the time she curls the other side, the previous one gets so much straighter already.

Yesterday, a friend of mine - Shaujin, came over to my place for help in one of her assignments. I was really excited as what I was suppose to help with was completely new to me. I love trying out new things and am very excited to be able to do this 'experiment' on her. My role in her assignment was to be.... *wait for it* .. a.. MAKEUP ARTIST! Shaujin knew that I loved those exaggerated makeup and such. She needed something more than just basic makeup and so, she looked for me! I was pretty surprised though, as I was one who NEVER applied makeup. Never in my life have I applied makeup for other people, I've never even applied makeup on myself other than eyeliner (which I only applied TWICE in my life before). Nevertheless, I agreed to help and I'm glad I did.
This is Shaujin before her make up. Ain't she pretty? I've got her number if you want it. We've decided to use blue as the main colour.

The shades are purple, blue, teal, white.
I applied 3 different shades of blue, starting from the innermost to the outermost. Then, I added a dark purple colour.
Next, I placed cellophane tape on both ends of her eyes. I wanted to put a finishing white that brings everything to a sharp end. I angled the tape by placing it by the side of her nose, and dragging it up to her eyes. This would help me to give similar angles on both sides.
The result from the cellophane tape! Look! I've also drew something on her forehead!
I quite like this picture above.
A unique make up.

Close up. The lighting isn't really nice here though. I think.
I love how the teal green spreads out to the darker blue.

 She even look down pretty!
and also look up pretty! *proud*

 ♥ Gorgeous eyes
I'm really satisfied with how my first makeup applying experience went. I hope to do way more exaggerated or unique ones and perhaps upload videos on Youtube for fun too! In fact, I actually took a video of this whole process. I shall edit and upload it when I have time. Thanks for dropping by once again! (I say the same thing in every post huh? You must be bored of it!) Bye bye!

Slight HDR effect.

Scrap Experiment

Hey everyone! A couple of days ago, an idea popped into my mind! I was thinking to use the shrink paper scraps that I have, and turning it into a pendant instead of throwing it away! I don't know if it would work though, and so, I've decided to carry out a little experiment of my own.

I took the scraps that I have and punched several holes in them. Then I put one hole on top of another, and used a cut up rubber band to tie it together. Hopefully, this would hold it from turning flat in the oven.
After getting that, I place them in the oven at 150 degrees for about 7minutes.
This is how it is at first. The translucent piece of plastic.
The shrink plastic started dancing and grew smaller in size. Look! Part of them has became white and part of them are still translucent!
And tadaa! They've turned completely white! The rubber band is still tied on.
I took it out and cut off the rubber band. Look! How adorable are these? They have little holes where I was thinking to hand a charm or bell in. Sounds good? It'll come up soon on BoxOfHobbies alright?
A little logo I designed for my Comm Tech class assignment. I'm quite happy with it. Everything was done with illustrator. Even the wings and the details there! I'm pretty happy with results. Well, that is all! Thanks for dropping by! It's bed time for me now, na-nights!

Tutorial : The 'BOOM' Card !

Tadaa!! I call this the 'BOOM' card! It somehow seems like the pink paper explodes from the red card when opened! Don't you think that's more fun than an ordinary card? Perhaps you could draw some flowers or so. Or make the card the mouth of a monster. (It somewhat seems like one in no.2 and no.3) Anyways, let's hurry along to the tutorial!
Step one : Fold a square piece of paper into a triangle.
Then, open and hold the other side to make a X shape.
Open it and fold the paper into half. You'll get something like the picture below.
This is where the tricky part comes in. Even the picture isn't very clear. Fold the paper in a way where the edge of the paper on the right meets the middle line. When that is done, you will see a previously-folded line making a triangle. Hold the part nearer to the corner of the paper, and push the other part of the paper towards it. (I know it's hard to understand, but it's pretty hard to explain too.)
Hopefully, you'll end up with something like the above. Trial and error if you didn't. If you did, give yourself a huge loud clap! You've done it! Now, repeat for all corners.

When you get to this stage, you're almost done!
Fold in the corners and the middle where the middle line was. It should look like the picture above. I find that it looks like some shark or monster's jaws!
Press it flat down and make a rectangular card folded in half to fit the pink piece.
Tadaa!! You're done with the base of the card! Now, to decorate it!
You can use anything to decorate your card. I used something circle to give me a shape to work from. Then I used patterned scissors to cut around it.
Ribbons should be useful in decorating. It's hard to get them to stick though, the trick here is to use double sided tape! It works like a charm! In fact, my whole card wasn't made with any glue. It's all by double sided tape! The person who invented them was a genius!

And wa-llah! The 'BOOM' card is done! Hope you enjoyed this tutorial!
If you were actually trying to make it, I hope you didn't give up at the part where the corners were involved. Well, have a blessed day people! That is all for my post tonight!

Self Designed Craft Table !

Good morning people! This is my woke up for a while already but haven't got ready for daily activities look! I think I don't look that bad today, I usually look worst than this. Anyways, recently, I've been day dreaming about having a craft room again! And because of that, I've decided to design my own craft table that would be able to keep all the crafty stuff I have organized. Have a look!
Isn't it awesome? I made it that there would be more drawers even after you open the small hinged door. One reason so that it would not look that messy with so many knobs, and another reason is that I could nail the inside of the hinged door so that I could put up a self-sewn pencil/brush organizer! And if I don't like it, I could just hang other stuff! Also, I drew 4 drawers below the work space, this would be for my stamps, ink pads, buttons and made charms. This would make it easier for me to have a full view of everything I have rather than having to move stuff to see what's below and pick from. ♥

My room is pretty small, so I was thinking to make my bed some sort of drawer bed. My dad don't know if it would be possible to do that though, the platform might not be able to withstand the weight. Anyone knows what I could do to solve this problem?
