I've Moved to www.craftysupermom.com

MOVED TO CRAFTYSUPERMOM.COM !!!!

Hi everyone!
It's been a while since you see any activity in this site. Reason being is that I have moved over to http://www.craftysupermom.com ! I absolutely love how it turned out and am very happy with the results.

My views here in blogspot has been increasing, and I am very pleased with that! However, I wanted to give you guys more to see and thought it'd be best to have my crafts more organized in a prettier site. More of an eye candy than an eye sore! I also always wanted it to seem more proper with a .com! Thus, I make the decision and moved. I apologize for not announcing it here earlier, it slipped my mind. I thought I had mentioned but I didn't.

Anyways, this blog will remain here, but all new postings will be up on Craftysupermom! Some of my old posts from this site has also moved its way to that new site. I hope to see you guys there!! Leave me some comments too!

Handmodified Bling Jacket for G.I.Locket's Jessica Lew

Hello !! Happy Belated Chinese New Year! I really wished that I could update by blog during CNY, but my connection was really bad. So much for bringing my laptop and hard disk to gram's place. Oh well. It's great to be back and blogging!

That dress is what I wore during CNY Chu San (Third Day Of CNY). I bought it from a friend of mine who owns an online boutique - ChiqFliq ! Go check out what other goodies they have in store!

Here's the main highlight for this blog post! Recently, (well, actually it was before CNY) I've helped my sister transform her new plain denim jacket into a super blinged colourful jacket!
This is the plain denim jacket.
For those who didn't know, my sister is a dancer. She and a couple of friends made a group called G.I.Locket where they do mostly kpop dance covers which you can see here.
My sister chose the blings that she wanted and showed me.
I added a few of my own and we started placing them all over the jacket. Yeap. It's THAT simple!
The rose and star were hand sewn from last time. I kept them in my little 'treasure box'.
I have a box full of unedible M&Ms, and I thought it would be cool to bling one side of the colour with these colourful candies. Besides, what could go wrong with M&Ms? Everybody loves them!

I glued them down with my trusty hot glue gun!
My sister said she wanted to add something more to the shoulder and arm's side, so we took out mom's old pearl necklaces and blinged that side. Too many tiny charms would look messy and less attractive.

We wanted to sew the necklace on, but then changed our minds as we thought it'd be cool to have safety pins just randomly sticking around on the jacket.
 Tadaaaa! The blinged jacket.

 Phew-phwit !!!
Check out those awesome M&Ms ! That's my favorite part of the jacket!
The pearl necklace adds a really nice touch too!
 From the front. Shweeet!
I really enjoyed having this little project.
Yipee!
Since you've seen the awesome jacket, why not take a look and G.I.Locket's awesome dance cover teaser!

Check out more of their dance covers here on their Youtube channel!

P/S: It was such an honour to be able to bling a G.I.Locket dancer's jacket! *fans self like a overly obsessed fan girl*

Billy The Bookshelf!

Hello there! I love this picture taken by Tiny Scribbles!
That dress I'm wearing there is also my new favourite dress! Anyways, back to today's post. I'll be talking about a new 'family member'. I call them (yes them, they're twins!) "Shelfie" !
On Sunday, my parents and I went to IKEA to hunt for my new bookshelves! I just randomly thought of bookshelves for my crafts one day and googled IKEA. Right away, I fell in love with the Billy Bookshelf 80x202. Yes, I know it's named Billy in the tag, but now I renamed them "Shelfie!"
When I got home, I immediately starting planning where everything goes. It doesn't turn out exactly the same, but it's pretty similar. ♥
With my new bookshelves in the house, I have been reorganizing all my craft materials and shifting them from my room upstairs to the karaoke room (now my craft room) downstairs.
Other than the Billy Bookshelves, I also have some new craft stuff!
The first picture (left) above shows my stash of patterned paper. And on the second picture (right) is my friend's. Recently, my friend went overseas for her studies and decided to dump a bunch of heaven into my territory. Yeap! All those on the right are now mine too!
And together, they look like this. All squashed up in a house of box like sardines.
Patterned papers are just one thing. Here's some more! The top left picture shows my stash of coloured paper. Bottom left show my friend's, and on the right is both of them together, now belonging to me! Oh dear! I'm a happy girl! Who could ever run out of pretty papers in my house?

There are tons more goodies which I received in the box of 'heaven', bucouldn't post them all up here. They were quite messy and I didn't bother taking that many pictures of sorting them out.
Lots of my stuff have now moved down and my bookshelves currently look like this. It has been eating a lot don't you think? I like how it looks. So pretty. Some of the red boxes there are actually still empty. Not all, but some. My room was such a mess moving all these things around.
Tadaa! I made my parents take a picture with the plush carrot and broccoli! My dad was very reluctant knowing that I would probably put it on Facebook or something (Which I did not. I just so happen to put it in my blog and link it to Facebook. That's all). I kept saying that once in his life, he would need to do something silly or fun! I manage to get this shot and am very happy with it! Yay! The dad even said "I don't want to eat my broccoli" then when he carried it. How adorable.
And tadaa! Took this picture because I've always wanted a rocking horse but never got one before. Although this is a moose and not a horse, it would have to do. End.

The Crumbs, Bangsar

This is us. My sister, my brother & I.
One night, my dear sister went "Oh! Let's be adventurous! Let's drive somewhere further away to have dessert!", and thus, the journey began. The sister hunted for a couple of shops with the net and we ended up in The Crumbs, Bangsar.
The place was very small, but extremely adorable! Their shop seems to revolve around mustaches! There were random pictures of people (even grandmas and babies) with scribbled on mustaches pinned up on the wall as well as other adorable things.
How lovely. This is my kind of a place to visit. Check out their menu!
 I love it!
Vanilla milkshake with rainbow sprinkles that brightens up everybody's day!
This brownie with the super huge ice cream is the BEST! It's not too chocolatey, neither is it too dull tasting. It's just nice and it's moist! Perfect! Together with the vanilla ice cream, W-O-W! If you ever visit The Crumbs, be sure to try this out!
 Vanilla Creme Brulee

Have a closer look at the menu items :
They have funny names for their drinks, don't you think? The Toothbrush? Mmm..
Did you see that? Grasshopper milkshake?!
When we went to the counter to pay, this is what greeted us! How adorable. I love the little note!
Well, that is all for today's random post on food. Thanks for dropping by. And really, if you do visit this place, you MUST NOT miss the brownie with the vanilla ice cream! Really really! Alright! Time to go, bye!

Click here to see a random post on how to make edible glass potato chips. And yes, they are transparent... and really edible.

CNY And A Car Accident

Chinese New Year is here! It's the time of the year where people stuff themselves with yummy food and try to reduce their weight in the days after!
This was our breakfast on Saturday! We ate at Ipoh in the morning then plan to head over to Penang before going to Kedah. We didn't manage to follow our plans though, because, on the way there, something else happened. Oppsie daisies!

7 cars were piled up together. My family's car was the 6th.
Thank goodness Mercs is a hardy car. None of us got injured. Mom had a slight pain on her chest, but it's just a minor thing. Everything else was fine.

The tow truck came, and we sat in the car while being towed!

Ohh.. why put a sad face when you can still smile and brighten up your day in such a situation?
Our first family photo in 2012. What a lovely picture. Anyways, the person at the workshop was nice enough to borrow us a Gen 2 to use. We transferred all our stuff and went straight to grandma's house in Kedah. Here's a little tour around my grandma's house. Nothing fancy, but still loveable.

Oh! And we found a huge lizard! It's the size of my palm (excluding it's tail) !
It looks a little like a fish in the picture, doesn't it? My uncle caught it and released it outside.

Reunion dinner (Dad's side of the family)
Mom's trying to take a picture of her and dad with the front camera!
We went over to my other grandma's house the next day. Grandma stays with one of my uncle.
 Uncle's new puppy - Lucky!
Playing 'The Message' with cousins! We had more players, but they were busy washing dishes when I took this picture.
My grandma from mom's side.
My grandma from dad's side.
Here are a few pictures of my niece and nephews. And me of course!
My youngest niece. It's pretty hard to get her to smile. Tickling her doesn't work either.
Mynn Mynn, she's always happy to be in pictures!

Zjern Zjern. Mynn's brother. He likes to take pictures of things rather than being in the pictures.

Well, that's all for today's post! I shall post more tomorrow. I just got my IGCSE results yesterday, so I might post about that, and maybe another post on I.O Camp which I promised, but haven't done so. Toodles!
