I've Moved to www.craftysupermom.com

MOVED TO CRAFTYSUPERMOM.COM !!!!

Hi everyone!
It's been a while since you see any activity in this site. Reason being is that I have moved over to http://www.craftysupermom.com ! I absolutely love how it turned out and am very happy with the results.

My views here in blogspot has been increasing, and I am very pleased with that! However, I wanted to give you guys more to see and thought it'd be best to have my crafts more organized in a prettier site. More of an eye candy than an eye sore! I also always wanted it to seem more proper with a .com! Thus, I make the decision and moved. I apologize for not announcing it here earlier, it slipped my mind. I thought I had mentioned but I didn't.

Anyways, this blog will remain here, but all new postings will be up on Craftysupermom! Some of my old posts from this site has also moved its way to that new site. I hope to see you guys there!! Leave me some comments too!

Shoe Painting; Floral Vines

 Hi everyone!
I've bought new toys recently! Something I wanted for a really long time now.
FABRIC PAINT

and with that, comes a new project :
 My newly hand-painted shoes!
I am so excited to wear them for the first time after being painted!
Here's how the project started...
My new but not-so-new shoes. I wore them several times when I went to China. Didn't have other shoes to 'waste' then. I didn't bother washing them before applying extra paint on, I was too lazy to do so.
 Fully white plain shoes.
with the help of some of my new babies (there were more colours like green, etc.), I manage to paint my shoes to my likings. I mixed these 2 colours above to get the result of an orange-pink shade which I absolutely love. I was afraid that I couldn't mix the same colour, but apparantly, everything went pretty well.
So, I started painting the border lines.
See those pale beige flower petals? I actually painted them on wrongly. I wanted to leave the sides white, but I was too excited with the new toys and messed it up. It was actually the darker orange-pink shade, but I painted 2 coats of beige & white over them and it looked much better.
One of the shoes painted in the darker shade.
 and now BOTH !
I was really happy with the progress! Yay!
 *just showing of my toys*
A pink shade (red + white) was mixed and painted on to match the orange-pink shade painted previously.
I think it looks pretty good. Now, I just got to add the vines and the leaves!
What is paint without different shades?
The lefty and the righty of the shoes. I didn't make them 100% alike. If I did so, I'd probably die from trying. Haha! Besides, art should be free flowed. *claps hand*
I mixed blue and yellow to get green. Occasionally adding white or black for the lighter or darker shade. My set of fabric paint has a bottle of green, but it was more of a dirty green colour I didn't really like. So I mixed my own shade instead.
and TADAA! This is how the shoes turned out! Woooo!! So happy to have them!
I'm thinking of painting and selling shoes (for I love them so), but shoe sizes are such a huge headache.
Should I, or should I not sell painted shoes?

Leave me a comment, or email me at craftySUPERMOM@gmail.com ! (:
Other than that, do also check out my Facebook for more handmade crafts! Many of them are to be for sale, and custom made orders are also accepted. So yeah. Hope to hear from you soon!

Handmade Denim Pouch

Hey everyone! Check out my new creation! It's a denim sling pouch!
Since I have a sewing machine of my own lying at home and tons of old denim jeans, I decided to slaughter everything up and make something useful.
I cut out part of the pocket from the jeans and another similarly sized plain denim fabric. Then, I sew the zipper onto the plain denim fabric.

This allows me to cut open the middle of the zipper so I may flip the pouch 'outside in' later on without needing to leave a space at any corners of the original pouch.

Pin them together so that everything goes in place. I hand sew this part.

I sew a zigzag line across the pouch to keep the two pieces together.
I kinda like how the zigzag turned out.
My initial intention was to make it into a wallet. Looks pretty good huh?
 A very simple wallet.
Without trying to iron it into place as a wallet (was a tad bit lazy then), I kept having the idea if it should be a pouch. It looked kinda cute. And from there, I started cutting up long strips of denim fabric and sewing the sides so strands wouldn't escape.
I sew along the edges of the denim strips with the X design.
The metal rings are from my "Rubbish Made Treasure Box" I mentioned so many times before.
These clips are also something I've kept for a very very long time. Can't remember where I bought them.
And finally with that, my pouch is done! I think it looks pretty good.
I love how the purplish lines shine.
How I attached them together. I hope that everything's sewed tight and well.
When I was done with my 'surgery'. This was how messy the place was. All the denim fabric sprawled across the table.
After every project, - yes, it is true that you will make the place messy again when you start another project - , a clean up session should be held.

That's all for this post! Thanks for dropping by!

My Happy Beginning !

Hi everybody! I'm a happy child. Oh, yes I am.
I have great news to share! Well, many of you know that I've launched a new online shop called

The whole thing was officially launched on 1st Jan 2013. It was a huge step for me. I was really excited and nervous at the same time. I don't know what to expect or how things will go in the future.

I joined a bazaar on 4th Jan 2013, which I lost some money there. But God is great! Though I lost money, there was a lady who saw me drawing then and was interested in them. I have never done drawings to be ordered before, but I told her I could try. This opens up a new journey for me. I may not know how it will work out, but I'm thankful for that.

Other than that, more great news came by. Entering just 2 weeks into the year 2013, I have been featured in 2 fashion sites!

Sha-Lene from Your Shopping Kaki did a review for me which you can see here. I truly appreciate it. Thanks Sha-Lene, for my VERY FIRST review on Walk In The Closet | BoxOfHobbies .
The 2nd place my item was featured in was Fashion Online Malaysia which you can see here.
I was pretty surprised because I knew nothing about it till I randomly received an email with the subject "YOU'VE BEEN FEATURED!"

Seeing the email title itself makes my jaw drop. Literally.
I am overjoyed! Praise the Lord for such an amazing beginning of 2013 !

Thanks everybody, for dropping by! Be joyful always!
